Stephanie Higdon Evergreen

Stephanie Higdon Evergreen teaches for Kalamazoo County Head Start where she specializes in early childhood education, and in the teacher preparation program at Western Michigan University. She recently finished her master’s degree in Sociocultural Foundations of Education at Western Michigan University, with a thesis focus on anti-capitalist education in indigenous communities. She balances this with high activism in politics and peacemaking. She conducts community education projects and consults on anti-racism. Stephanie plans to expand on her research with the Cultural Connections Fulbright Group and her interests in globalization, popular culture, and personal history.
